2006 RESULTS

This race starts and finishes in Golden Eagle Stadium.
This and all races at Jacksonville High School will go
out and back along the flat, paved Chief Ladiga Trail.

NOTES:
Many high schoolers will be running this race. If complete teams (5 or more runners) exist
for more than one high school, high school team scores will be tabulated in addition to the
usual overall and age group tabulations. The high school runners compete for overall and
age group awards, but the high school teams are scored as if only high schoolers were running.
Please come out and encourage these young people to participate in more of our road races.

COURSE:
Starts and finishes in the stadium near midfield in front of the home bleachers. The course starts counter-clockwise around the track running the shorter route to the gate, then passes in front of the main school building and proceeds out to the 4-way stop in front of the school, then turns left into the middle lane of George Douthit Drive, goes to the entrance to Chief Ladiga Trail, turns onto the connector leading to Chief Ladiga Trail, proceeds down to the main trail, turns left onto the main trail, continues to the turnaround at the 1.5 mile point, retraces its route back to the stadium gate, then goes counter-clockwise around the track which is the longer route back to the start-finish line which is near midfield in front of the home bleachers. With this layout, the 1 mile point and 2 mile points are at exactly the same locationand will be marked by large cones. The 3 mile point is on the track and will also be marked by large cone. The course has been accurately measured by surveyors wheel.

AWARDS:
Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 males and top 3 females overall.
Top 3 overall winners are not eligible in age groups.
Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 males and top 3 females in each age group:
9-under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,
55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84. 85-89, 90-94, 95-99, 100-over.

DIRECTIONS  TO  RACE  LOCATION: 1000 George Douthit Drive SW
From the intersection of Highway 21 and Highway 204 in Jacksonville, take Highway 21 South.
Go 2.4 miles to the first set of flashing yellow traffic signals (University Inn is on the left).
Go .15 mile to the next traffic light and turn right onto George Douthit Drive.
Go approximately one mile and the school will be on the left.
From Anniston, take Highway 21 North. Look for Jacksonville Medical Center on the left.
Turn left onto George Douthit Drive at the first traffic light past Jacksonville Medical Center.
Go approximately one mile and the school and stadium will be on the left.

REGISTRATION  INFORMATION:
Entry fee is $12 in advance or $14 on race day.
For Anniston Runners Club members, fee is $10 in advance or $12 on race day.
An entry form will be placed here after it becomes available.

T-SHIRTS:
Each entrant receives a t-shirt.
There will be an ample supply available on race morning.
However, if the supply is exhausted, t-shirts will be mailed
within two weeks to runners not receiving t-shirts on race morning.
